Wayne E. Long graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 1978 and worked with some local firms before realizing he was not a follower but a leader.  Wayne is founder and owner of Wayne Long & Co, established in 1984.  His experience spans almost 30 years in public accounting.  The Company has grown from a one-man shop to a full service firm with a diversified range of talents and experience.

Wayne holds a Masters in Taxation degree from Golden Gate University and provides guidance in a wide variety of accounting, consulting, planning and compliance services for corporate, individual and fiduciary clients.  He and his team have been delivering quality personal service to closely-held businesses, high net worth individuals, non-profits and estates and trusts for decades. 

Wayne’s approach is very hands-on.  He has developed expertise in almost every aspect of running a business and routinely helps clients complete acquisitions, obtain financing and structure deals to maximize value and reduce liabilities.  Wayne takes a keen interest in his clients’ financial well being and is frequently asked to resolve operational as well as personnel issues for his clients. He often approaches the challenges faced by clients as if he were part of their company. He prides himself in developing relations with his clients based on trust, responsiveness and knowledge.

Wayne has served on various boards as well as committed time and resources to many community services and organizations.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and of the California State Society of CPAs.
